Air Conditioning - Servicing

Our air conditioning service is second to none. Each service includes a thorough multi point check with the aircon system being placed under vacuum to totally remove the refrigerant and any residual moisture or debris in the system. When the refrigerant is replaced it is the exact quantity and weight of gas for your particular make and model. On completion a thorough leak test is carried out to ensure the car will retain its air conditioning efficiency over time and not depreciate in temperature control delivery.

On older cars, and many foreign ones, the air conditioning systems are filled with R12 refrigerant which is a CFC (Chloro Fluoro Carbon). Nowadays, systems can only be filled with 134a (Tetra Fluoro Ethane). If your car requires to be refitted to the required configuration then this can be arranged at the same time as the service. All our carbon wastes are correctly disposed of by a licensed carrier.

If your air conditioning is not as cold as it has been in the past or has it suddenly stopped blowing cold air altogether then it is possible that the fault is not the gas but a leak somewhere in the pipework, filter or ventilation system. Our 25 point check will identify the fault and BEFORE we commence any work we will inform you of the problem and offer advice and affordable solutions. It may well be a simple gas leak and in which case we can track down and rectify it and give your car an aircon service. We will not over charge for unnecessary work. Our reputation is our livelihood.
